About the Unit

Yara aims to be the crop nutrition company for the future and is leading the development of sustainable agriculture and digital tools to contribute to solving global agricultural challenges. We have a worldwide presence with sales teams in ~150 countries and around 17,000 employees.

Drawing on over a century of crop nutrition experience, Yara established the Digital Farming unit – now Digital Ag Solutions (DAS) – 4 years ago to explore how technology could be used to impact farmer livelihoods and productivity. Front End Development (Our main tech stack is Javascript technologies and React & Typescript)

Back- End Development (Node.JS & Typescript)

Mobile Development (React Native)

At the end of the journey, you will be able to start your career journey as Full-Stack developer!

Job Summary:

As an Applications Engineer, you are responsible for conducting feasibility studies, technical presentations, and test installations at the customer's site. This is the technical response and elaboration to a given customer problem. Here you will find the correct selection of optical and system components, as well as the correct selection of the product platforms and algorithms. Prototype setups and test reports round off the evaluation.

The problems to be solved are manifold and can come from different industries and fields of application. In order to achieve a technically reliable and commercially interesting solution, you work closely with our sales engineers and the technical management of the customer. And, of course, you will travel a lot.


Your Background:

University studies (informatics, electrical engineering, mechatronics, industrial engineering) or comparable vocational training with proven consulting successes

Good understanding of mechanical, electrical and automation systems in industry

Programming languages and enjoyment of programming (time share up to max. 20%), preferably with C- and Java Script

Willingness to travel in the European environment

Knowledge of image processing and optics is an advantage, but not a must

Distinctive analytical skills, empathy, persuasiveness, enthusiasm

MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, etc.)

English language skills to read and understand product descriptions

•  Disegno di soluzioni IT a sostegno dei processi di Lean Manufacturing e supporto nella fase di implementazione delle tecnologie Low Code

•  Monitorare le performance pre e post-intervento di trasformazione

•  Realizzazione di documenti di analisi funzionale

•  Disegno e progettazione dei processi di approvvigionamento con piattaforme in cloud


Per essere il candidato ideale non ti possono mancare:

•  Laurea magistrale conseguita con ottima votazione in Ingegneria Gestionale o Management

•  Ottima conoscenza della lingua inglese, meglio se avvalorata da un’esperienza di studio e/o lavoro all’estero

• Ottima conoscenza degli applicativi MSOffice

•  Competenze di base nell’ambito di linguaggi o logiche di programmazione (Java, Javascript, C++, SQL)
