Job Description:

Parsons is seeking an Assistant Project Manager who is ready to learn and grow with a us! This is a great opportunity for someone who is looking to get hands-on experience from a Project Manager in the Utility industry. This is a long-term project (4 years). Candidates with substation experience are preferred.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

•  Communicate with the Project Manager regarding project needs and goals

•  Monitor project progress

•  Follow up with PM and client regarding the completion or delay of project phases

•  Support the coordination and management of projects.

•  Review meeting minutes and follow up on action items

•  Maintain project documents and reports

•  Complete any tasks assigned by the Project Manager in an efficient and timely manner


REQUIREMENTS:

•  Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Construction related field

•  0+ years of experience in project management or a similar role.

•  Any Renewable Energy experience is a huge PLUS and strongly preferred.

•  Proficiency in Microsoft Office

•  Highly organized and able to multitask.

•  Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

•  Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

•  Able to work independently and as part of a team.

Job Title: Project Manager – Program Evaluation


Primary Responsibility:

· A. An evaluation study shall be conducted to understand factors that may hinder or contribute to the Initiative’s success; evaluate if the Initiative is operating in accordance with the PEI mission and Executive Order, measure relations between the Initiative’s activities and outcomes; assess effects beyond projected objectives and milestones; gauge what would have occurred in the absence of the Initiative, evaluate funding impact; and provide recommendations for alternative interventions.


· B. An analysis and report shall be produced identifying germane issues within the PEI business process infrastructure of HBCUs participating in the PEI 2.0 Initiative. It shall include an analysis of the following areas:

o a. Shall analyze the effectiveness of the PEI Strategic Plan, Gap Analysis, White Papers, and any other pertinent documents related to the Initiative.

o b. Shall examine HBCUs with an existing acquisitions business process infrastructure to pinpoint standard resources, capabilities, and processes necessary for HBCUs in the PEI to be successful. This report must be 508 compliant and will require review by the NIH Small Business Program Office and the COR.

o Shall measure the effectiveness of implemented strategies to remove barriers that HBCUs may face working with federal agencies.

o Shall assess the acquisition model executed for building a university contracting infrastructure through the PEI Technical Assistance Centere.

o Shall measure the cohort’s adherence to the Guidelines and participation by the selected Small Businesses

o Shall evaluate SBPO processes to close infrastructure gaps and increase overall operational efficiency.

· C. Program Development Analysis-A report shall be produced identifying operations and business process needs assessment for the Path to Excellence and Innovation 2.0 Initiative. Recommendations for strategic planning, scope improvement, and inefficiency elimination shall be furnished.


· D. Shall provide a comprehensive report outlining these strategies and recommended programmatic approaches for the fiscal year 2023. The implementation methods recommended in this outline shall inform the programmatic next steps to ensure the PEI is a viable and pertinent Initiative. This report shall be 508 compliant and shall require review and approval by the NIH SBPO or their designee.

SUMMARY OF POSITION


Teaching Lab is seeking a Manager, Program. The Manager, Program collaborates with others within the Program team and across the organization to meet Teaching Lab programmatic goals, takes ownership of the organization’s systems and processes, and implements them with consistency and success.


ESSENTIAL PROJECTS, DUTIES, AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Implement excellent programmatic services to successfully meet the goals of the projects; projects include but are not limited to: professional learning content development projects, professional learning implementation with state and district systems, etc.

Acts as a content area expert aligned with organizational needs, i.e., has some area of content expertise (like subject-area expertise in ELA, math, science, or social studies curriculum and/or instructional expertise, or general expertise in coaching for continuous improvement or state/system level leadership development, etc.) that they bring to bear on aligned projects as well as support team members to build their content expertise

Hold many different roles on multiple projects, given capacity, skills, competencies, and interests. See descriptions of roles on a project-based team; will often hold the role of a Client/Partnership Manager, Subject matter expert (SME), or Facilitator/Coach.Implement and maintain the project plans for assigned projects; if needed, identify needs for consultant support to complete projects on time and with high quality

Support the development of systems, tools, and processes to support effective and efficient implementation of services to scale Teaching Lab’s partnerships and impact over timeMaintain positive and responsive relationships with clients and support with contract renewals to sustain impact on teacher and student learning; support on business development, as needed

Create or support the creation of materials and content for programmatic partnerships and courses

Apply best practices for virtual and in-person adult learning in the design of professional learning content

Work with Teaching Lab team members to identify and engage new and existing school system partners on scopes of work that drive towards impact and outcomes for teachers and students

Collaborate with the research and learning function to adapt and improve Teaching Lab’s high-quality Support Teaching Lab’s data collection and impact evaluation processes

>10% improvement between beginning and end of year in teacher content knowledge, teacher practice, and student learning

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree

Five or more years combined experience working in PK-12 education, with minimum of two years experience teaching PK-12 students from traditionally underserved backgrounds with demonstrated evidence of impact

Three or more years combined experience leading or coaching the implementation of high-quality instructional materials (in any subject area)

Deep knowledge and experience with Common Core or College- and Career-Ready math a/or ELA standards

Experience designing and facilitating high-impact professional learning for educators

Preferred: Deep understanding of the specified curriculum, including its design and component parts

Experience providing professional learning supports and services in and for consultative organizations is preferred

Experience managing relationships with clients and stakeholders in an education context
